Naraka: Bladepoint was a surprise reveal at The Game Awards appearing out of nowhere. Now the developer has returned with new images and a trailer to spark the imagination. Chinese studio 24 Entertainment released several screenshots and a brief video on Twitter to give a glimpse of what is to come in their upcoming title.
The images showcase the city and show a beautiful overgrown Japanese style world. From boarded up windows to gorgeous trees in the background, the city feels old and looks great. Amazing detail work is found within the images from the grass texture to the small banners hanging from the homes to ward off evil.

Nakara: Bladepoint is a multiplayer combat game set in a mysterious Eastern realm known as Morus. The game features a boundless movement system that allows players to climb and parkour throughout the map while battling it out in a feudal world.
Grapple anything with your grappling hook and swing across the city as you are immersed in the world. Although the controls look sophisticated, the developers have reassured fans that they are very beginner-friendly with accessible block and parry mechanics built into the combat system.
This game wants to build upon the melee combat genre with a brand-new experience of world exploration. Although this is a fighting game, it is still a beautiful world with in-depth lore and amazing details to be discovered within.
“Integrating Eastern aesthetic and philosophy, NARAKA: BLADEPOINT presents a forsaken island of splendid landscapes as well as inexplicable enigmas,” writes the developers. Fans of Eastern culture will find themselves lost in this magical world. The screenshots and videos only go to further the magic and make the game more tantalizing than ever before.
Naraka: Bladepoint is a PC and console title set to launch in 2020. Although there have been no details as to what consoles it will be featured on, fans are hoping for both a PlayStation and Xbox release. No matter what, this game will require a little extra processing power to build up not only the world but the amazing animations that are sure to be featured within this game.
